This information is provided to help you get the most from a reading and to help understand how Tammi does Readings.  These are just some things to consider before deciding to schedule a reading or session with Tammi.

 

BASIC TYPES OF READINGS

• Intuitive – using various tools and ways to sense, interpret and communication with unseen energy and beings
• Interpretive – using tools and applying only the descriptions and meanings provided with the tool
• Channeled/Guided – this is where unseen energies/beings communication with and/or through the reader to convey messages, symbols and information

Many readers use a combination of the above and very proficient. 

• There is no “better” or “worse” type of reading either – it is just the way in which a reader provides the information to the person being read.
• Knowing what type of information/reading you are looking for is very important too.
• Would you go to an astrologer to talk to your “dear Aunt Millie on the other side”?
• Would you go to a clairvoyant for an astrology reading?
• Would you want a Numerologist to look at your palm for a palm reading?

 

ARE READINGS SET IN STONE??? 

• Answer:  Nope, Nada, Never, Not Happening!
• Readings are based on the energy of the moment it’s given.  Speaking only for myself, I tend to perceive the current course of action and subsequent events based on where the person is at that moment.  This may not be true for all readers though.
• You have 100% FREE WILL to change any and everything.  One of the most common questions and complaints that I receive about readings in regards to why things did not occur that were foretold as happening or vice-versa.  Reasons for this:
• You make a different choice than what the reader foresaw happening and new possibilities occur
• You paid attention to the guidance that was given during the reading and stopped a behavior or pattern from occurring OR you didn’t pay attention to the guidance (or universal signs) to take advantage of an opportunity
• Divine Intervention (let’s blame it on angels, guides, power animals, fairies, deceased loved ones…)
• Other people and their free will intervened, interfered or prevented something from happening

 

SELECTING A READING

• Determine who you are drawn to!  Use your own intuition in selecting a reader – this is your best guide!
• Pick up a business card or brochure and consider:
• How do you feel with it in your hand?  Do you feel good about holding it or put off?  These are both great signals to follow!
• For Fairs/Events - walk around a room and notice which reader draws your attention.  Did you feel “drawn” to this person?  Was it something on their table?  If eye contact was made – how did you feel?
• Referrals from other people.  These are great – but not every reader can read every person.  Sometimes energies don’t mesh, the reader might not be the right person to deliver the information and more can be possible reasons.  Just because your friend got the reading of a lifetime from Jane Doe – this does not ensure you will get a great reading from Ms Doe.
• Some readers are better at certain types of readings.  Knowing what type of reading you are looking for will help determine the best reader for you.
• If brochures are available before hand – read it and find out about the reader. 

 

GETTING A GOOD READING

• Are you getting a reading for a specific reason or just for general information?
• Have questions ready to ask.  Some readers will ask for questions up-front and some readers won’t.  Having questions ready are good for a couple of reasons:
• Questions allow you to touch upon the areas of concern that are most important to you at the time of the reading.  You won’t feel like you wasted your time when you are done either...  hopefully!
• Don’t be afraid to ask for details too.  A reader may think that the information they provided was adequate and move onto another topic and not realize that you were looking for more detailed info on that area. 

 

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX... BE OPEN-MINDED!

• Some messages are not 100% clear when they are given, so…
• Remember that there may be symbols in the messages and that these may be revealed to you in time, usually when you are ready.
• Readers sometimes have to decipher the symbols for you during the reading too.  Maybe the interpretation of the symbol that was given was not 100% dead on, so use common sense with this too.
• Sample scenarios might be given during a reading and it could simply be an illustration or an example.  For instance, if a reader says that something will happen on a certain day at a certain time with a certain person at a specific location – have an open mind that the day, time, person and location could only have been used as an example to illustrate the energy they were sensing!  Don’t limit a message or discard the information because of specific wording the reader may have used – or not used.
• Don’t make the reader “prove themself” to you!  It’s not a test and you are paying for the reading.
• Let the reader into your energy field!  Thinking “this is a waste of time” will get you exactly that! 

 

TIMING IS IMPORTANT TOO!

• When a reading is done, don’t continue to ask questions after your time is up.  If you need more time, then reschedule for a continuation or another reading with the reader.
• Readings are based on that moment in time and you are ALWAYS in charge and control of your life.  You have the ability to make things happen, change the course of direction and prevent things for occurring. 
• Use the reading as a way to empower where you are, understand where you have been and how to get where you want to go!
• You have FREE WILL which allows you to make decisions. 

 

BE DSCERNING! 

• If a reader tells you something you don’t like – then figure out a way to prevent it from happening or reduce the odds/impact that it may (or if it does) occur!  For example if they see you loosing your job – wouldn’t it make sense to keep this in mind at work, maybe look over your resume or even watch for other warning signs.  This doesn’t mean you would “quit” though!
• If you aren’t sure about the information in a reading, don’t disregard it 100%.  Make notes about it and it may become clearer in the future for you.  Hindsight is 20/20 – foresight may not be!
• Accept responsibility for your choices – don’t just do things “because I was told in a reading” that this would happen to me!
• DO NOT BECOME CO-DEPENDENT!!!  Readers are humans – just like everyone else.  You don’t need a reader to tell you what to wear to work…  whether you should go on a date with the UPS delivery person…  what gift your mother really wants for her birthday!

 

WARNING BELLS! 

• It isn’t often, but sometimes it happens, so I’m including things to watch out for too!
• Readers that claim 100% accuracy, 100% of the time for 100% of the people they read!
• Readers that say they can remove curses, spells, reverse bad luck, etc or that require extra money for outside services they “know you need” and only they can provide!!!
• Readers that insist you reschedule and return to see them in a less than reasonable timeframe.  What’s reasonable?  When you feel the need for another reading of course!
• Be aware of readers that “pump you for information”.  For example, if you sit down and the reader starts bombarding you with a zillion questions:  Are you married?  Do you have kids?  What do you do for a living?  Now – maybe the reader is just really friendly… but pay attention to the way the information comes back during the reading too!
• If you have a specific time allocated for the reading (say 30 minutes), make sure that the reader doesn’t spend the first 25 talking about themselves, their accomplishments and more!  Don’t be afraid to keep them on track with your reading.  Some readers may have a big EGO and like to talk about themselves.

• Not make you feel bad about yourself, your life, your choices or your actions
• Give you possibilities for growth and change
• Be fun, thought provoking and of assistance to what you want in life
