Creating Conscious Choices for Empowerment

Saturday, December 10, 2011 - Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

Posted December 5, 2011

Even if we can’t see an eclipse in the sky where we live, the energies of an eclipse are still felt.  A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse signifies a time when things come to fruition or where the cyclic energies have completed.

It is an excellent time to let go of something that is outworn, whether it be a possession, a habit, a limiting belief, or a relationship that doesn’t serve your highest good.  Additionally, eclipses provide the opportunity for outward manifestation with life-changing events – expected or not - often happening around this time.

The December Full Moon features the Sun in Sagittarius opposing the Moon in Gemini.  We may feel ourselves caught in a push-pull between stepping back to gain perspective and focusing in to hone the pieces that make up the whole.  Striking a balance in self and surroundings is important.

If it is possible to find ways of integrating what is calling our attention into our life, then the opportunities for growth and learning are significant.  It’s important to remember that the world and universe is much bigger than just what we see.  By gathering information and balancing it with the our intuition, we can find easier ways to navigate the course of life.

It is possible that there may be some energy shifts just prior to the eclipse where surprises and unexpected events may occur.  This brief period of chaos and upheaval is to break up the stagnant energies so they can be removed and to also help new energies to settle.

Full moons often stimulate a sense of frustration or agitation, to counter-balance this, try meditations focused on centering, grounding and releasing personal energies.  You don’t have to meditate for hours to find inner peace, just a few moments with your attention focused on a particular item can help.
